Life in the carved houses of the village of Çavuşin, five kilometers from the Göreme Valley, continued until 1960.

This village and its close environs offer a wide range of alternatives for walkers and hikers in an exceptional natural landscape. You can take a two-hour walk starting from the Ürgüp-Nevşehir highway in the Kızılçukur Valley.

Güllüdere, which you can reach by passing through the village of Çavuşin, is another natural wonder that was used hundreds of years ago by monks as a place of retreat. A walk in the Akvadi, also close to Çavuşin, is another interesting alternative.
